On July 15, 2025, the “Green Nation Ammonia Alliance” team from the School of Materials at Shenzhen University visited Shanghai Yuanhuai Technology Intelligent Co., Ltd. for an exchange and study tour. The two parties held in-depth discussions and technical exchanges on their joint scientific research project—“R&D of Hydrogen-Ammonia Symbiotic Green Battery Technology and Key Electrode Materials.”

Initiated by Yuanhuai Technology, the project aims to work with Shenzhen University to develop an integrated self-powered ammonia synthesis and hydrogen production device, achieving coordinated hydrogen–ammonia energy conversion and intelligent power supply. The device integrates self-power generation systems, electrode material engineering, and reaction coupling mechanisms, representing a cutting-edge exploration at the intersection of green energy and new materials, with significant application potential and strategic value.

During the morning meeting, General Manager Nian introduced the R&D concept of the project and the company’s work in new materials, new energy, and clean energy solutions. Professor Zhao gave a systematic overview of the team’s research expertise in functional materials, electrode optimization, and reaction interface control. Both parties reached a consensus to leverage their respective resource advantages to jointly advance prototype design validation and performance breakthroughs in key materials.

After the meeting, under the guidance of General Manager Nian, the faculty and students toured Yuanhuai Technology’s corporate showroom, R&D laboratories, and modern production lines. The showroom showcased a variety of core chemical engineering equipment—such as continuous flow microreactors, glass molecular distillation units, distillation towers, and bioreactors—demonstrating the company’s capabilities in efficient reactions and intelligent manufacturing. Students actively asked questions and engaged in in-depth discussions with technical staff regarding the functions of the equipment and its relevance to the project.

Looking ahead, Yuanhuai Technology and the School of Materials at Shenzhen University will continue to deepen their technological cooperation in the field of “self-powered ammonia synthesis and hydrogen production,” striving to bring the project to fruition as soon as possible and injecting new momentum into the development of green energy technologies and the industrialization of materials science.
