Strengthening Workplace Safety Through First-Aid Training

Nov.25.2025

To further enhance workplace safety management and comprehensively improve employees' emergency response, self-rescue, and mutual-aid capabilities, YHCHEM recently organized a special first-aid knowledge and skills training session in the company's conference room. The training was held with the strong support of the Lüxiang Town Federation of Trade Unions and was delivered by Ms. Cao , an American Heart Association (AHA) certified First Responder and a Red Cross certified first-aid trainer.

This initiative represents an important step in YHCHEM's ongoing efforts to strengthen safety governance, promote a people-oriented management philosophy, and create a safer, healthier, and more resilient working environment for all employees.

Professional Instruction by Certified Experts

Authoritative Trainer with Extensive Experience

Ms. Cao brought strong professional credentials and rich practical experience to the training. As an AHA-certified First Responder and a Red Cross-certified first-aid instructor, she provided participants with internationally recognized, standardized, and highly practical emergency rescue guidance. At the outset of the session, Ms. Cao emphasized that emergencies often occur suddenly and without warning, and that the first few minutes are critical in determining outcomes. Proper first-aid intervention can significantly reduce injury severity and, in many cases, save lives.

Case-Based and Systematic Teaching Approach

Drawing from real-world emergency cases commonly encountered in workplaces and daily life, Ms. Cao systematically explained essential first-aid principles and response procedures. By analyzing typical scenarios and highlighting key decision points, she helped employees understand not only what actions to take, but also the reasoning behind them. This approach enabled participants to build a clear and structured understanding of emergency response.

Comprehensive Training Content and Practical Skills

Core First-Aid Knowledge and Emergency Techniques

The training focused on a range of critical first-aid skills, including:

  • Recognition and immediate response to sudden cardiac arrest
  • Standardized Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) procedures
  • Proper and safe operation of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs)
  • Emergency management of airway obstruction and choking incidents

In addition, Ms. Cao addressed common misconceptions and errors frequently seen in emergency rescue situations, offering clear guidance to help employees avoid mistakes and act effectively under pressure.

Integrating Theory with Hands-On Practice

To ensure practical applicability, the training combined theoretical instruction with live demonstrations and hands-on exercises. Employees actively participated in simulated emergency scenarios, practicing CPR chest compressions, AED usage, and rescue techniques under the instructor's direct supervision. Through repeated drills and one-on-one guidance, participants were able to correct their posture, rhythm, and operational details, gradually improving both accuracy and confidence.

Active Participation and Positive Learning Atmosphere

High Engagement and Strong Interaction

Throughout the training session, employees demonstrated strong enthusiasm and engagement. Participants actively asked questions, shared personal experiences, and took part in practical exercises. The interactive learning format fostered open communication and peer learning, creating a focused, energetic, and highly motivating training atmosphere.

Building Confidence Through Practice

Through hands-on experience and immediate feedback, employees gradually overcame hesitation and fear related to emergency intervention. Many participants expressed that the training helped them feel more confident and prepared to take action in real emergency situations, rather than remaining passive or uncertain.

Significant Training Outcomes and Safety Enhancement

Improved Safety Awareness and Emergency Judgment

The primary objective of this training was to equip employees with fundamental emergency response concepts and essential life-saving skills. As a result, participants significantly improved their safety awareness, risk identification capabilities, and ability to make timely and accurate judgments in emergency situations.

Strengthened Teamwork and Mutual-Aid Capabilities

Beyond individual skill development, the training also reinforced the importance of teamwork and coordinated response. Employees learned how effective communication and mutual support can greatly enhance rescue efficiency during emergencies, contributing to a safer and more resilient workplace.

Building a Stronger and More Sustainable Safety System

Company-Wide Commitment to Safety Culture

YHCHEM has always placed employee health and safety at the core of its management priorities. All departments actively encouraged employee participation in this training, demonstrating the company's firm commitment to safety education, preventive risk management, and continuous improvement.

Laying a Solid Foundation for Long-Term Safety

By integrating first-aid training into its broader safety management framework, YHCHEM continues to strengthen its internal safety protection system. The knowledge and skills gained through this session provide a solid foundation for reducing workplace risks and enhancing overall safety assurance.

Reflections and Outlook: From Awareness to Action

This first-aid training was not only a skills-based learning activity, but also a valuable opportunity for employees to reflect on the meaning of safety, responsibility, and care for others. It reinforced the understanding that safety is not solely the responsibility of management or safety officers, but a shared obligation of every individual in the organization. Each employee plays a vital role in creating a safe working environment and protecting the lives and well-being of colleagues.

Looking ahead, YHCHEM will continue to collaborate closely with relevant government departments, trade unions, and professional organizations to expand safety education initiatives and emergency skills training. The company plans to organize regular training sessions, emergency drills, and safety awareness activities to ensure that employees remain well-prepared and capable of responding effectively to unexpected incidents.

By continuously strengthening safety management practices and transforming knowledge into practical action, YHCHEM is committed to fully implementing the principle of "Safety First, Life First." Through persistent effort and shared responsibility, the company will provide strong support for safe, stable, and sustainable development while safeguarding the health and safety of all employees.
